About Our Client

They are looking for a highly skilled and commercially minded In-House Funds Lawyer to support the legal and regulatory aspects of our investment activities.

The successful candidate will work closely with the investment, legal, and operations teams to structure and manage fund vehicles, oversee regulatory compliance, and negotiate investment documentation across asset classes.

Job Description

• This role reports to the Chief Investment Officer.
• Advise on the structuring, formation, and ongoing management of investment vehicles (e.g., LPs, SPVs, trusts, feeder funds).
• Draft, review, and negotiate fund documentation, including PPMs, LPAs, subscription agreements, and side letters.
• Provide legal support for direct and indirect investments in private equity, hedge funds, real estate, and venture capital.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., AIFMD, SEC, FATCA, CRS, AML/KYC).
• Liaise with external counsel, fund administrators, and service providers.
• Support internal governance, including board resolutions, legal entity management, and documentation.
• Assist with legal due diligence on prospective investments and counterparties.
• Stay abreast of legal and regulatory developments affecting the investment landscape.

The Successful Applicant

• Qualified lawyer with over 10 years of post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house at an asset manager or family office.
• Strong expertise in fund formation, investment management, and cross-border structuring.
• Familiarity with offshore jurisdictions and international tax considerations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Discreet, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, confidential environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
