Position: Quality, Safety & Environmental Manager

Overall Purpose :

To ensure cleaning and MRO chemicals manufacturing plant complies with all relevant quality, environmental, safety, health, and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement in QESH performance and managing all legal registrations and product compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Quality & Environmental Management:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001).
• Ensure quality compliance & environmental permits and legal compliance.
• Monitor quality KPIs, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead internal and external audits and manage compliance requirements for integrated management system.
• Conduct environmental risk assessments and ensure waste management practices.
• Liaise with environmental authorities for reporting and inspections.

2. Safety & Health Management:

• Maintain and improve workplace safety & health and bizSAFE 4
• Perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and safety audits.
• Ensure compliance with local occupational safety laws and global EHS standards.
• Maintain workplace safety system and oversight incident investigations

3. Regulatory Affairs:

• Register and maintain approvals/licenses for chemicals/products with regulatory authorities.
• Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the business, recommend and implement provisions required.
• To support subsidiary on regulatory matters.

4. Training & Communication:

• Train employees on QESH policies, regulatory compliance, and safe practices.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and quality/environmental awareness programs.
• Coordinate training required for QESH management system and compliance provision (e.g. ISO awareness, ISO internal auditors, Occupational; first aider, CERT members training, etc)

5. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain complete documentation for audits, inspections, and certifications.
• Submit regular reports on compliance status to senior management and regulatory bodies.

Key Skills & Competencies :

• Education : Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Certifications : ISO 9001, 14001 Internal Auditor, bizSAFE 2.

• Past safety officer experience
• Implement Incident Management Process (for Site Incident Controller)
• Response to fire and hazmat emergency (for Site Incident Controller)
• Experience : 3-5 years in QESH and/or regulatory compliance roles, ideally in a chemicals industry.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, leadership, and documentation skills.

Work Environment :

• Manufacturing/production plants with office and lab exposure.
• Regular interactions with internal teams, government bodies, and certification agencies.
• On-site and off-site audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
