Regional Lead, Internal Communications (APAC)

UL INTERNATIONAL-SINGAPORE PRIVATE LIMITED
Reports to Director, Internal Communications (Illinois, USA) with matrixed reporting to the Regional VP, APAC. Acts as the APAC internal communications lead, localizing campaigns, and programs to engage ~6,000 employees. Serve as the subject matter expert and key resource for internal communications across the region.

- Develop and implement a strategic APAC internal communications plan; audit communications and align engagement efforts with global strategy.
- Activate internal communications in APAC, including global initiatives and region-specific content.
- Partner with the APAC Region Lead to cascade strategic priorities and strengthen UL Solutions culture.
- Support APAC internal events (e.g., CEO/EC visits, global employee events).
- Create and distribute employee-focused content across APAC channels (e.g., ULife. In focus).
- Collaborate with HR to activate employee engagement initiatives (e.g., values refresh, EVP, census,, inclusion forums, and awards).
- Work with Business Communications on internal content (e.g., town halls, talking points, thought leadership).
- Partner with External Communications on APAC PR/Media needs (e.g., press releases, agency coordination, social media, UL.com).
- Promote internal content via social media in partnership with External Communications (e.g, LinkedIn, WeChat).
- Localize communications as needed.
- Build strong relationships across AAPAC and the wider organization to uncover and share compelling stories.
- Foster productive stakeholder relationships through clear communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of corporate communication experience, ideally in a global or regional role.
- Native-level fluency in English and Mandarin (Oral and written).
- Excellent writing and editing skills (AP Style).
- Proven success in creating and executing employee content campaigns, backed by metrics.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
