Reporting to the General Manager and Team Leader, the Executive is responsible for managing key partnerships (travel trade and non-travel trade) in Singapore as well as business development to corporate clients with the ultimate goal of increasing footfall and sales from existing partnerships. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Partnership implementation with key travel trade and airline partners, travel concierge and clubs to ensure ROI.
- Build the optimal network of key trade partners to distribute client's product in Singapore.
- Providing a thorough competitive landscape of the market in relation to the positioning of client's product. Provide weekly reports and monthly presentation.
- Develop a business plan covering budgets, rationale and an overview of the projects and partnerships that will drive increased market share.
- Identifying the different funnels and the correct stakeholders to be on board onto an education process of the travel community of Client's products and services.
- Organization of Sales Mission, familiarization trips and events. Conducting product seminars and presentations, travel agent educational sessions, and sales calls.
- Manage and build the relationships with travel trade (corporate travel agents, incentive houses etc.) and corporate end clients to ensure market growth for Client in MICE segment. Provide an analysis of the potential of MICE business for Client and a leads-generation plan will also be required.
- Meeting the yearly revenue and result targets set by the management.
- Leading projects and initiatives as required to achieve established goals.
- Manage an efficient and well-organised database/CRM system.
- Providing monthly reports, updates and feedback to management, as well as the following reports:
- Monthly Environment Scan and Competitive Analysis Report - including but not limited to the various direct and indirect travel intermediaries, pricing and capacity aspects, promotions that other tourism boards are doing, trends and news of travel and digital trends related to travel in Singapore (in terms of top websites, competitors, etc.)
- Conduct periodical Travel Trade Landscape & Market Audit, including size of market, value chain of travel trade and size of each vertical, list of top players and their size of business, a definitive plan on who, what, how, when and why the destination should engage with the selected players in the market. Market Audit of the destination products sold online and offline in Singapore. The report should also analyse the destination product representation against competitors for each segment.
Your Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Diploma / Degree with at least 2 to 3 years of working experience in related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Results driven with good interpersonal skills.
- Good analytical and presentation skills, marketing and persuasive skills.
- Self-initiative, ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
- Advantageous for candidates with prior experience in Travel Industry or Hospitality related business development role.
- Outstanding business acumen with sound numerical, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Highly motivated, eager and success driven team player with ability to interact with people at all levels and in a multi-cultural working environment.
- Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented and highly organised individual.
