Dual Role Swim Coach - Learn-to-Swim & Competitive

Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and versatile swim coach to deliver high-quality lessons across both our Learn-to-Swim (LTS) and Competitive programs. The ideal candidate is someone who can inspire beginners while also nurturing aspiring competitive swimmers with sound technical instruction and training planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Learn-to-Swim (Approx. 50%)
\t• \tTeach foundational swimming skills to children aged 3+ using our structured LTS curriculum
\t• \tManage small group or private classes in a fun, safe, and engaging manner
\t• \tTrack progress and recommend student promotions based on readiness
\t• \tCommunicate clearly and positively with parents and guardians
\t• \tAssist with SwimSafer assessments and school events as required
Competitive Squad Coaching (Approx. 50%)
\t• \tConduct structured training sessions for age-group swimmers (typically 7-13 years)
\t• \tFocus on stroke technique, turns, starts, and overall skill development
\t• \tSupport swimmers' preparation for time trials and local meets (e.g., SSPA, SNAG)
\t• \tKeep accurate records of attendance, training performance, and competition results
\t• \tCommunicate goals and development plans to swimmers and parents

General Duties:
\t• \tMaintain a professional and positive presence on the pool deck
\t• \tEnsure safety protocols and discipline are upheld at all times
\t• \tAttend coach meetings, workshops, and parent consultations when scheduled
\t• \tContribute to a team culture that values learning, discipline, and fun

Requirements:
\t• \tCertified in both LTS and Competitive Coaching (e.g., SwimSafer, ASCTA, STA, NROC Level 1/2)
\t• \tMinimum 2 years coaching experience with both beginners and competitive swimmers
\t• \tGood understanding of swimmer development stages (ages 3-14)
\t• \tStrong communication, patience, and class management skills
\t• \tAvailable to work weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
\t• \tCurrent CPR + AED certification (or willing to obtain)

\t• \tFamiliarity with Swimming Singapore's squad system and competition calendar
