Many people struggle with getting back to moving and feeling normal after suffering from an illness or injury. At Thrive Healthcare, we have identified a gap in post-discharge care. That is, many patients are discharged with the notion that they are able to seek their own rehabilitation. But that is not always true.

And this is why we exist. To improve the continuum of rehabilitation in the community by providing better care. We are a primarily a home rehabilitation physiotherapy practice that seeks to empower and guide our clients towards functional recovery. We also provide clinic and gym-based services to support our clients in the community.

Responsibilities of a Physiotherapist:

As a physiotherapist, you are often the first point-of-contact for any of Thrive Healthcare's clients. As such, it is imperative that you hold the highest standards of service, along with a friendly and welcoming demeanour characteristic of Thrive Healthcare. Your duties include both in-person and administrative duties, and a keen attention to detail is key.

Your responsibilities include, and are not limited to:

Scope of clinical practice:
  • Providing physiotherapy for clients of the company
  • Be able to independently assess, diagnose, and manage cases, and seek for guidance proactively when required
  • Caregiver training and education for caregiver(s) of clients
  • Home assessment and modification advice if appropriate
  • Practice within the scope of safety and clinical integrity and refer cases to the appropriate professionals, if necessary
  • Adhere to AHPC standards of clinical practice

Administrative role:
  • Initiate, liaise and manage rapport with client
  • Manage appointment slots and availability and designated caseload
  • Assist in clinical related processes improvement projects
  • Assist with marketing of the clinical services
  • Attend team meetings

Others:
  • May be involved in supervising students

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Good Degree/ Masters in Physiotherapy from a recognised University
  • Be fully registered with AHPC and have and maintain a Practicing Certificate (PC)
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient setting
  • Preferably with experience in community/ home-based settings
  • Confident and interested in managing a diverse group of clients (e.g. musculoskeletal, geriatrics, cardiopulmonary, neurorehabilitation, sports, etc)
  • Multilingual (English, Mandarin / dialects, Malay)
  • Travelling required, preferably able to drive
  • Positive learning attitude and willing to put others or clients first
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Honest and responsible
  • Sensitive to others' needs and feelings and being understanding and helpful on the job, actively looking for ways to help people
  • Friendly, outgoing and positive personality
  • Conscientious and organized, with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and analytical skill
