Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Manage client portfolios in the areas of tax compliance, including but not limited to filing estimated chargeable income, Form IR21 (tax clearance), Form C/B1/M/P (tax returns), Form IR37 (withholding tax), and applications for Singapore Certificate of Residence and tax treaty reliefs.
- Provide tax advisory services.
- Prepare and review responses to queries from the tax authorities, including handling tax audits and investigations.
- Work closely with other business units, external business associates, and advisors to deliver tax compliance and advisory services to clients.
- Review and provide recommendations to clients on agreements and other documents to ensure tax compliance and mitigate tax risks.
- Experience in CRS/FATCA registration assessments and annual filing, transfer pricing, MAS annual reporting, and applications to the Maritime Port & Authority of Singapore for Singapore withholding tax exemption is preferred but not essential.
- Support the firm's Management with fee proposals, fee revisions, recruitment for the team, and other initiatives aligned with the firm's strategic goals.
- Coach and train team members on tax-related subjects.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations.
- Manage budgeting and revenue variance analysis for the team.
- Handle other administrative tasks and ad-hoc matters for the team as required.
Requirements:
- Degree or professional accounting qualification
- Being a SCTP Accredited Tax Professional or Tax Advisor will be an added advantage.
- At least 8 years of experience in Singapore corporate and individual tax compliance within public accounting firms.
- Minimum 2 years of managerial experience leading a team.
- Strong familiarity with the Singapore income tax regime and compliance requirements.
- Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple deadlines.
- Passionate, proactive, meticulous, and equipped with strong technical and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and business communication skills.
- Customer-focused and a strong team player.
