Key Responsibilities:
Leadership in Clinical Services and Operations
- Lead the full spectrum of nursing services, guiding Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Nursing Aides to deliver high-quality care.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and an effective blend of skills across care teams.
- Govern nursing processes in line with professional standards and internal protocols.
- Oversee the development and implementation of care plans and ensure proper documentation and escalation procedures are in place.
- Take accountability for regulatory duties under HCSA, ensuring ongoing service compliance and safety.
Compliance and Audit Preparedness
- Uphold all statutory requirements under local health regulations and nursing board guidelines.
- Drive readiness for inspections and internal audits through meticulous documentation and procedure management.
- Maintain and update policies, incident logs, and audit materials to meet compliance standards.
Risk Oversight and Quality Assurance
- Lead the centre's quality assurance framework to improve care outcomes and patient safety.
- Track and respond to indicators such as incident rates, wound care quality, infection prevention, and medication safety.
- Conduct reviews and lead improvement actions following clinical events or audit findings.
Talent Development and Professional Growth
- Mentor and evaluate nurse leaders and emerging talent within the team.
- Manage onboarding and clinical competency validations for new staff.
- Plan and execute annual training and development schedules aligned with clinical and regulatory priorities.
- Support performance evaluation processes and workforce planning in partnership with HR.
Strategic Engagement and Interdisciplinary Coordination
- Work in close collaboration with allied health professionals, physicians, social workers, and operations leads to deliver integrated care.
- Contribute to the refinement of clinical models and innovation projects within the broader care network.
- Serve as a nursing representative in leadership forums and multi-centre initiatives.
Emergency Leadership and Centre Representation
- Represent the nursing division at internal leadership meetings and external stakeholder engagements.
- Take the lead in managing clinical incidents and emergency responses when required.
- Be available as the designated clinical lead during assigned crisis response shifts.
Qualifications:
- Recognised nursing degree with valid registration in Singapore.
- 8-10 years of clinical experience, including significant exposure to residential or long-term care settings.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multidisciplinary nursing teams.
- Knowledge of Singapore's healthcare service regulations and quality frameworks.
- Strong capability in operational oversight, regulatory compliance, staff mentoring, and strategic healthcare delivery.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position based in a nursing home.
- Requires a hands-on approach with frequent presence on the ward.
- Flexibility to respond to clinical matters beyond standard hours is essential.
