Job Responsibilities:

1. Instructional Support

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
• Help guide children through learning activities, play, and routines.
• Support the development of language, motor, and social skills through interaction and engagement.
• Read stories, sing songs, and participate in group activities.

2. Supervision & Safety

• Monitor children to ensure their safety at all times (classroom, playground, nap time).
• Help with bathroom breaks, diapering, and handwashing routines.
• Ensure toys and learning materials are clean and safe for use.

3. Classroom Management

• Help maintain an organized, clean, and inviting classroom environment.
• Assist with setting up activities and cleaning up afterward.
• Support children in learning classroom rules and routines.

4. Behavioral Guidance

• Model and reinforce positive behavior and social interaction.
• Help manage conflicts among children calmly and constructively.
• Provide emotional support and comfort when needed.

5. Communication

• Communicate daily updates to the lead teacher or supervisor.
• May interact with parents at drop-off or pick-up (depending on school policy).
• Observe and report signs of developmental concerns or behavioral changes.

6. Administrative Tasks

• Assist with attendance, snack distribution, and basic record-keeping.
• Prepare materials for daily activities or special events.
• Help decorate the classroom and create bulletin boards

Job Requirements:

• Must hold at least a Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (FCECCE)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Genuine passion for working with children
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
