• Responsible for conducting risk assessments and implementation of control measures in compliance with WSHA.
• Responsible for co-ordination with the relevant stakeholders on safety & health matters.
• Responsible for implementation of on-site and off-site safety & health management system.
• Lead the safety committee members in conducting safety inspection.
• Lead the investigation for accident and dangerous occurrences, compile findings and make recommendations for prevention of recurrences.
• Conduct regular inspection of work areas.
• Attend safety meetings and briefings in worksite.
• Draw up annual safety action plan for the company and ensure successful implementation of plan.
• Draw up annual safety inspection plan for the safety committee and ensure successful implementation of plan.
• Identify training needs for the company and conduct the relevant safety, health and fire safety training for staff.
• Plan & organize safety awareness & promotional activities.
• Compile safety records on accidents/dangerous occurrences including but not limited to lifting plans, safety training records, safety inspection reports.
• Create, update & maintain safety related documents.
• To prepare & submit monthly safety report.
• Assist in accident administration and reports or matters pertaining to statutory requirement.
• Update the company on any new regulations or changes to regulation and make recommendations on actions needed to achieve compliance including but not limited to workplace health and safety measures and Safe Management Measures.
• Make recommendation to the production and operations departments on how to carry out work safely, including calling for cessation of work if working conditions are found to be unsafe.
• Responsible for ensuring all parties comply with the implementation and execution of the permit-to-work system to coordinate work among various departments.
• Responsible for yearly audit (ISO4500:2018 & Bizsafe).
• Carry out any other duties as required in the WSHA.
• Other duties as assigned by the Management.
Requirements:
• Singaporeans Only
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant safety experience, ideally in construction, manufacturing, marine, or oil & gas industries.
• Possesses WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH).
• Min diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field.
• Must be Registered WSHO (Workplace Safety and Health Officer) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
• Have successfully completed the Fire Safety Manager Course approved by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
• Must be registered as an FSM with SCDF.
• Familiar with ISO 45001 and local WSH frameworks.
• Familiar with Workplace Safety and Health Act, Risk Management Regulations, and Code of Practices (CPs) issued by MOM/WSHC.
• Strong communication and training skills to drive a safety culture on site.
• Proficient in safety documentation, audits, and safety software.
