Chemical Data Intelligence (CDI) Pte Ltd (https://cdi-sg.com) is a young research-led company operating in the space of developing digital solutions for the chemicals and advanced chemical products industries. The company was established in Singapore in 2020 as a spin out from Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore (CARES Ltd), a subsidiary of the University of Cambridge.

CDI has a portfolio of contract research projects, all leading to customer-specific software tools, and is developing a range of software products with general applicability across the chemicals industries.

CDI is seeking to engage with an experienced scientist in the field of Chemoinformatics and Data Models

o Specific Domain Knowledge

Experience in chemoinformatics; molecular properties prediction models; chemical data models.

o Software Development Skills

Coding models from scratch in programming languages, such as C, C++, or scripting languages such as Python and knowledge of relevant libraries and tools.

o Additional Knowledge / Expertise

General knowledge of data models, databases, and interest in tech stacks for cloud-based computing.

The primary role in this project is to advise a high-throughput synthesis experimental programme on data generation, using existing large reaction datasets and the generated HT datasets to construct predictive reactivity models (reaction outcomes). The position also involves the development of a technology stack for hosting CDI data infrastructure and would be suitable for a scientist who is also interested in cloud computing technology, data models and advances data infrastructure.

The contract will be up to 2 years with a 6 months' probation, and a possibility to extend or make the job permanent. The salary range is SGD 8-12k/m, based on experience. This position could be fulfilled remotely or partially remotely. For Singapore-based employees there is a healthcare and sports package as an additional benefit. The position is available immediately with the preferred start date on August 1st or soon after.
