As part of our commitment to holistic design, AFW has recently launched an in-house landscape architecture capability. To support this growing discipline, we are looking for a talented and motivated Landscape Architect to join the team and contribute to the integration of landscape within our design vision.

The Role

You will work closely under the guidance of our Landscape Lead to design and deliver landscape schemes that enhance and complement our architectural projects. This is a collaborative role that involves supporting design development across multiple project types while contributing your own creativity, technical rigour, and understanding of site-sensitive, sustainable landscape solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support in the design and documentation of landscape strategies for AFW's projects.
• Assist in developing site planning concepts, planting schemes, hardscape detailing, and integration with architectural elements.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure cohesive design outcomes.
• Prepare presentation materials, diagrams, and visuals for internal and external review.
• Coordinate with external vendors, suppliers, and contractors during project implementation.
• Contribute research and new ideas to support AFW's landscape design direction, especially in areas such as native planting, water-sensitive design, and public realm enhancement.
• Help maintain design consistency, technical standards, and documentation quality across projects.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in landscape architecture, preferably within multidisciplinary environments.
• A strong design sensibility and a portfolio that demonstrates creativity, clarity, and contextual understanding.
• Working knowledge of sustainable design practices, ecological principles, and climate-resilient strategies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; confidence to contribute ideas and respond to feedback constructively.
• Proficiency in design and documentation tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Rhino.
• A keen interest in landscape as an experiential and environmental design layer, not just a decorative one.
