We are looking for a Research Fellow to work on the development of drug carriers for nucleic acid therapeutics, such as mRNA. The successful candidate will have a strong expertise in molecular and cell biology related to therapeutic development, including with mammalian cell culture, gene editing, qPCR, fluorescence and confocal microscopy and live cell assays. The primary objective of this position is to develop and optimize nano-size carriers for nucleic acid delivery, focusing on mRNA therapeutics. The successful candidate will work closely within an interdisciplinary team that will develop a platform to deliver nucleic acids inside mammalian cells, and will include experts in mRNA production, molecular dynamic simulations, and in vivo studies.

Key Responsibilities:
- To carry out mammalian cell culture and live cells assays related the delivery of nucleic acids inside mammalian cells.
- To establish molecular biology protocols to quantitatively analyze the response of cells to nucleic acid therapeutics.
- To closely work with other researchers designing in vivo studies of the same therapeutics.
- To mentor post-graduate students, write scientific papers, and interact with our expert collaborators in mRNA therapeutics and in vivo studies
- To produce high quality bimonthly reports and documents that consolidate research findings
Job Requirements:
- MSc (with at least 10 years of experience) or PhD (3 years of experience) in bioengineering, biotechnology, biochemistry or related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experiences in cell culture assays, gene editing, wester blots, fluorescence associated cell sorting (FACS), fluorescence and confocal microscopy.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Competent in information visualization,
- Ability to work independently, meticulous and eye for details, excellent organizational / time management skills, and strong interpersonal skills to work with our collaborators.
