Job Description:

• Support commercial and R&D teams in various transactions and negotiations, including drafting and reviewing contracts in connection with distributor, dealer, supply, intellectual property licensing and after-sales service agreements
• Manage legal risk and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to Singaporean and relevant regional regulations, as well as international standards.
• Handle dispute resolution through litigation/arbitration processes and coordinate with external legal counsel
• Provide strategic legal advice to business managers for risk identification and mitigation
• Support cross-border collaboration with HQ legal team
• Handle all other legal day-to-day work

Job Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer in Singapore with around 5 years of relevant experience at a law firm and/or in-house corporate (preferably automotive industry) environment
• Strong commercial/transactional background with exceptional ability to handle complex legal matters
• Team player with the ability to proactively identify problems, drive projects, and execute pragmatic/creative legal and business solutions
• Inspire trust, forge relationships quickly with key stakeholders at all levels, and earn the confidence and cooperation of your business partners
• Work both autonomously and collaboratively, demonstrating effectiveness at juggling and prioritizing competing tasks in a fast-paced, challenging environment
• Possess strategic thinking abilities to align legal strategies with business objectives
• Strong ethical standards with demonstrated integrity in handling sensitive matters
• High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Creative and analytical problem-solving approach
• Excellent communication skills, with business-level fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Proficiency in additional languages (e.g. Mandarin) would be an advantage in serving a diverse client base and stakeholders.
