Energy Manager

The Energy Manager is responsible for driving end-to-end energy efficiency projects, from initial client engagement to successful implementation of the project and sustainability certification. Also responsible to identify and deliver energy savings, energy efficiency optimization of client systems and ensure adherence to Singapore's regulatory standards.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Client Engagement & Business Development: Identify and engage potential clients, present ESCO services, conduct site assessments, and develop customized energy efficiency proposals including financial analysis
2. Project Lifecycle Management: Lead tendering processes, perform detailed energy audits (ASHRAE Level 1 - 3), develop Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs), oversee project implementation (including contractor management and performance verification), and manage energy performance contracts
3. Technical & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with Singapore's energy regulations (Energy Conservation Act, Building Control Act, Green Mark), advise clients on sustainability practices (renewable energy, carbon reduction, Green Mark certification) and stay updated on relevant industry trends and policies
4. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze energy consumption data from various systems, prepare comprehensive reports on energy performance and savings for stakeholders
Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
• Professional Certification as an Energy Efficiency Opportunity Assessor (EEOA), Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM), BCA Registered Energy Auditor, Green Mark Manager (GMM), or LEED AP
• 8 years of work experience in energy management, energy auditing, energy procurement, Green Mark projects management, HVAC/chiller plant systems optimization and ECM implementation, ideally within an ESCO or relevant industrial/commercial sector
• Proficient in tender preparation, contract negotiation, and financial modelling
• Strong technical proficiency in energy auditing tools, data analytics software, and BMS platforms
• Knowledge of Singapore Standard, PEA, MEI, Green Mark requirements, MEES, EEOA ISO 50001, IPMVP, and ASHRAE standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to engage diverse stakeholders
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills with a proactive approach to innovation and client satisfaction
