Responsibilities

Take on engagements in corporate tax compliance, personal income tax compliance, and GST compliance, while providing comprehensive advisory support to clients.

The scope of work shall cover (but is not limited to the following):

• Assisting clients with the preparation, review and e-filing of their income tax returns.
• Drafting responses to tax queries from the IRAS on behalf of clients.
• Drafting objection letters to IRAS for clients in cases of disputed assessments.
• Advising clients on the tax implications of their business transactions, including corporate income tax, personal income tax, and GST.
• Assisting with tax due diligence and advisory-related projects (e.g. share swaps, business restructuring, permanent establishment advisory, GST MES renewal schemes).
• Assisting clients in seeking tax rulings or clarifications from IRAS to ensure clarity and compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
• Accreditation by SCTP is an advantage (e.g., Accredited Tax Practitioner (ATP) Income Tax).
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory, preferably in a public accounting or tax consulting firm.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore tax regulations, including corporate tax, personal income tax, GST, and general tax compliance matters.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English to effectively communicate with clients and prepare documentation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong client-oriented approach.
