Responsibilities

Payroll Processing
  • Compute and process employee/contractor payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and deductions.

Accounts Management & Bookkeeping
  • Review and process incoming and outgoing invoices and payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Timely invoicing and consistent follow-up on due payments.
  • Maintain up-to-date vendor master data in the company database.

Operational/Administrative Support and Liaison
  • Maintain daily communication with local and regional operation/administrative teams on ongoing projects and tasks.
  • Ensure timely response to enquiries and requests from internal teams and external parties (clients, vendors, government agencies, etc.)
  • Support local and regional operations teams with onboarding/offboarding of contracting personnel including contractor mobilisation/inductions, etc.

Workflow and Process Improvement
  • Assist manager in identifying gaps in company's existing work processes related to payroll/ billing and operations and propose ways to rectify and improve.
  • Suggest and lead initiatives to further enhance efficiency of company's daily payroll, billing, and finance workflow and achieve cost savings.
  • Suggest, implement, and participate in initiatives to improve communication and collaboration between regional operations and accounting teams.
  • As and when necessary, perform market research for best practices and new technologies related to corporate accounting and operational functions.

Requirements
  • 3 years and above relevant experience in operations, general administration and payroll processing.
  • Work experience in technical industries e.g. Manufacturing / Oil & Gas / Marine & Offshore is an advantage.
  • Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline.
  • Proficiency in TimeSoft required, experience in AX, Workday or a similar software is preferred.
  • Good understanding of Singapore employment laws and regulations related to payroll.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or irregular hours from time to time to manage increased workload.
  • Able to start work at short notice.
