Job Description

1. Prepare mise en place in accordance with the Recipe Card(s).
2. Measure dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately in accordance with the Food Preparation Guide (FPG).
3. Assist with the acceptance and storage of deliveries and that all relevant SOP and goods storage methods such as First In, First Out (FIFO) are adhered to.
4. Record and/or report wastage of food on a daily basis.
5. Count/measure during month-end inventory stocks check.
6. Ensure compliance with all SOP, statutory and regulatory requirements.
7. Wash and dry kitchen pots/utensils and ensure their proper storage.
8. Keep high standards of cleanliness on section where employed, also to assist in any job regarding hygiene or cleanliness asked for by the KIC, e.g. floors, cookers etc.
9. Assist the Senior Cook/KIC in carrying out daily procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage.
10. Attend all meetings and training courses as required.
11. Other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by Superior.
