About the Role (Business/Sales Development Representative)
As a BDR/SDR at Canopy, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective clients, primarily in the private wealth sector across Asia and other key global hubs. This role involves proactive outreach, lead qualification, and scheduling meetings to support the sales pipeline. You'll work closely with our sales and marketing teams to identify high potential leads and convert interest into conversations.

About the Role (Business/Sales Development Representative)
As a BDR/SDR at Canopy, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective clients, primarily in the private wealth sector across Asia and other key global hubs. This role involves proactive outreach, lead qualification, and scheduling meetings to support the sales pipeline. You'll work closely with our sales and marketing teams to identify high potential leads and convert interest into conversations.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within target segments (e.g family offices, EAMs, private banks).
- Conduct detailed market mapping and research of priority segments to identify potential accounts and key stakeholders.
- Execute outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, and phone.
- Book and manage qualified meetings.
- Research and segment leads based on Canopy's Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
- Engage leads using tailored messaging and report prospect insights to the team.
- Collaborate with Marketing to optimize outreach strategies and content.
- Maintain accurate and timely CRM records of all lead interactions.
- Provide feedback to internal teams based on prospect and market conversations.
Requirements
- 0-3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or client-facing role (experience in fintech, SaaS, or private wealth preferred).
- Strong interest or understanding of financial services, wealth management, or technology.
- Proactive communicator who is organized, resilient, and goal-oriented.
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English.
- Able to learn product features and confidently deliver introductory demos.
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with CRM and sales tools such as HubSpot, LinkedIn, or similar. Prior exposure to private banking or family office networks. Experience in a startup or fast-paced tech environment.
