Job Description:
- Manage a class of 10-18 students
- Familiarity with primary school curricular content (minimum understanding is important), English, Mathematics, Science and Chinese.
- Supervise and provide guidance to primary school children in their homework, spelling and Centre's activities
- Mark student's work and corrections
- Need to ensure that school homework is completed
- Conduct evening English activities (news sharing, discovery, general knowledge) and moral education activities.
- Conduct activities including art and craft and outdoor activities
- Providing care and concern for children's well being
- Managing any behavioural issues or concerns that arise with children in the student care.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, activities, and progress of each child in the student care.
- Conduct in-house programme and instill good habits and values in children
- Plan & carry out holiday programmes
- Serve lunch and tea-break
- Ensure classroom discipline and safety of children under your care.
- Being an inspiring role model with a creative spirit and a champion (positive) mindset.
- Be a great team player & responsible colleagues!
- Building and maintaining relationships with parents, guardians and community stakeholders.
- Responsible for the preparation, upkeep and filing of daily teaching resources and materials, arrangement, appearance and learning environment of the classroom
- To liaise with parents on their children's progress and Centre's activities
- prepare daily lesson plans to ensure children is engaged.
- Ensure the student care area is clean and well-maintained at all times.
- Observe and report any incidents, accidents, or injuries to the Student Care Supervisor promptly.
- Assist in completing necessary incident reports and documentation.
- Computer literate, MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Any other ad-hoc duties as delegated by Centre's manager.
Job Requirements:
• Diploma in Care & Programmes (Student Services & Coaching)
• WSQ Introductory Student Care
• Has a valid certificate in first aid
• Has at least 2 years of relevant experience in SCC sector
• Demonstrate ability to handle work professionally, independently and efficiently with good classroom and management skills.
• Possess effective organizational and follow-up skills, paying attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to interface with all levels, internally and externally, in a professional and responsive manner
