Job Description:
- Design and develop customized light-sheet microscopy systems, including optical path configuration and optomechanical integration.
- Build and test functional prototypes, ensuring performance meets milestone-based specifications in joint academic-industrial projects.
- Integrate instrument control and imaging software for real-time operation and data acquisition.
- Perform system calibration, benchmarking, and iterative refinement based on user feedback and test data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industry partners, biomedical researchers, and engineers, to define requirements and ensure deliverable quality.
- Contribute to scientific publications, patent applications, and conference presentations.
Qualifications
- Possess a PhD degree in Optical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
- Has prior research experience in development of optical microscopy (light-sheet, confocal, multiphoton) or relevant fields.
- Strong hands-on skills in designing & building precise optical systems and system integration.
- Has excellent publication records.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Open to fixed-term contract.
