(Credit Review Team)
■ Responsibilities
1. Management of Credit Risk
o Conduct best practice due diligence and supervision in close collaboration with the Corporate Banking Departments to ensure that the Bank's risk appetite is well-managed and an acceptable risk-adjusted return is achieved for all transactions.
o Identify and evaluate adverse credit developments related to the Bank's loan portfolio and develop alternative course of actions to avoid, mitigate, isolate or transfer risks.
2. Lead Periodic Credit Reviews for Existing Borrowers
o Perform annual/semi-annual Credit Review of borrowers
with existing credit facilities not covered under Credit Applications including loans, securities, guarantees, trade finance, as well as to monitor the asset quality of these facilities."
o Assess the credit facilities in accordance to branch and MAS guidelines. This includes Borrower's / Issuer's financial performance, country or industry analysis and any other information related to the Borrower / Issuer. Also includes review of compliance certificate and indication of any breaches in the review.
o Comment on and recommend changes to the loan classification and internal rating of the Borrower/Issuer if required.
3. Integrate Climate Financing Solutions into Credit Risk Management Framework
o Understand the Bank's Environmental Risk Management Framework as well as the borrowers' individual needs and advise on the structuring of the Facility to facilitate capital flow towards green and sustainable projects.
o Assess and analyze borrowers from polluting industries, through a balanced scorecard from an economic, social, environmental perspective, and develop and propose more environmentally-friendly financing solution.
4. Validation of Financial Models - Credit Stress Test
o Assist in macroeconomic variables simulation, model recalibration exercise and model methodology enhancement and work closely with H.O.
5. Refresh and Enhance Credit Policy and Procedures ("P&P")
o Stay informed with the latest policy changes within the Bank as well as any regulatory changes from MAS or any other governing body and also, any recommendations from internal and external auditors.
6. MAS Reporting and Disclosures
o Complete and deliver punctually all required monthly, semi-annual and annual reports.
o Complete all credit-related ad-hoc surveys and questionnaires requested by MAS.
7. Any Other Adhoc Work and Projects
o Complete any other adhoc work and projects as assigned by General Manager and Deputy General Manager from time to time.
Requirements
o Bachelor or Professional Qualification such as CFA or CPA.
o Minimum 4 years of related Credit Risk / Credit Analysis experience in a Financial Institution or Rating Agency
o Working knowledge of Basel II / Basel III and its disclosure requirements
o Strong proficiency in MS Office (especially in Word and Excel)
o Meticulous and detail-oriented, with strong critical-thinking skills
o Strong oral and written English proficiency
o A good team player, self-driven, who possesses good work ethics
