About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee and enhance our operations in the chemical sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, financial performance, and sustainable growth. You will work closely with senior leadership to execute strategic goals and lead cross-functional teams toward continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee company-wide operational planning, budgeting, and performance tracking.
• Work with the finance team to ensure sound financial governance and accurate reporting.
• Lead supply chain, logistics, procurement, and inventory management processes.
• Streamline operational workflows to increase efficiency and manage cost structures.
• Foster strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor diverse teams across operations, finance, and customer service.
• Implement industry best practices and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Drive innovation by incorporating new technologies and staying updated with market trends.
• Identify risks and apply mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or operational role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage change.
• Strong financial literacy, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of supply chain operations and procurement practices.
• Effective decision-making and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide and inspire teams.
