Title : M&E Construction Manager
Location : Site office at West area
Responsibilities :-
The Construction Manager (CM) shall be responsible for the planning and execution of the construction works, managing field construction supervisors and plant and equipment supervisors, planning and managing temporary works, and ensuring the construction works are executed in accordance with the contract specifications
- Lead and manage a team of project engineers for the construction scope of works.
- Lead and manage a team of sub-contractors for the construction activities.
- Manage the interfacing and coordination scope of works with other System Wide Contracts and Civil Contractors
- Manage and take the lead to initiate meetings with sub-contractors and other parties
- Prefer working experience in multi-national company
- Capability to build the detailed execution plan, method statement
• Capability to execute engineering calculation, such as fan pressure drop, hydraulic calculation and etc.
- Deep knowledge of each system, ACMV, Tunnel ventilation, Fire fighting, BMS/SCADA, plumbing and sanitary and etc.
- Deep knowledge of installation details of every system
- Deep knowledge of Work breakdown structure & BOQ
- Capability to manage the change/ variation and its costs
- Capability for mobilization
- Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Research and analyze client design, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
- Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software.
- Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs.
- Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications.
- Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification.
- Develop, coordinate, and monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, and operation of product designs.
- Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.
- Perform personnel functions, such as supervision of production workers, technicians, technologists and other engineers, and design of evaluation programs.
- Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition.
- Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work -- plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings -- reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems

- Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others -- Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
- Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
-Time Management -- Managing one's own time and the time of others.
Educational Qualifications and Skills :
- Mechanical Engineering degree holder
- Project management professional(PMP) or PRINCE2 is preferred.
- Construction manager in M&E for Infrastructure project or Commercial Building projects
- More than 10 year experience in construction industry
- Management experience as Construction Manager/ Project Manager more than 5 year experience in either Road tunnel or Underground MRT station
- Good understanding of Tunnel Ventilation System design and installation
- Prefer working experience with LTA or similar Government Authority
- Highly skilled in word, excel, power point
