GRAND IMPERIAL HOTEL PTE. LIMITED
• Qualify and maximize business potential of designated portfolio through daily sales calls, telephone calls, effective account servicing, site inspection, FAM trips, tradeshows, entertainment etc.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings
• Maximise all guestroom and food & beverage revenue opportunities
• Review business plans, identify gaps and ensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets
• Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, and manage the departments adherence to achieving that strategy
• Understand the competitive market place and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
• Organize hotel promotional activities
• Liaise with guests to determine objectives and requirements for the events
• Execute site inspections and monitor event activities to meet requirements of both guests and attendees
• Maintain records of event activities including financial transactions
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Assist the Business Development Manager in ensuring that targets and standards are met in the team
• Conduct sales call activities to acquire new business and/or solicit business with existing customers. Activities include sales calls, site inspection, tele-blitz, cold calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
• Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence)
• Conduct "Bring Back Old Business" and repeat calls to increase demand and overall revenue
• Cross sell other properties within Hilton Enterprise wherever possible
• Update and maintain accurate account profiles in the database systems
• All duties and processes to be carried out in line with Hilton brand standards/ guidelines
• Develop and maintain a broad range of product knowledge about the Hotel
• Understand the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them
• Communicate trends, opportunities and market changes to DOS and appropriate parties, as needed
• Identify new business to achieve individual and team revenue goals and targets
• Gain understanding of our target customers and service expectations; serve the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution
• Support the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience
• Service our customers in order to grow share of the account
• Execute and supports the company's customer service standards
• Provide excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the company
• Set a positive example for guest relations
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels
• Handle business enquiry and daily correspondence in a timely and professional manner
• Utilize intranet for resources and information
• Utilize Excel spreadsheet and relevant systems to manage, document and track all managed account activities
• Submit daily/ weekly/ monthly reports to Business Development Manager
• Proficient in using hotel's front office system management tool to manage and track business
• Proficient in using hotel's Account Management Tool (OnQ, Ideas & etc.) to manage and track accounts
• Attend and be attentive in all daily briefings, department/team meetings and any other meeting as required
• Attend designated training programs
• Work and cooperate with others actively, take part in departmental meetings, team briefings and project work to ensure the team achieves overall goal
• Assist in hotel operations when required
• Communicate effectively, to target markets, the amenities and benefits of the hotel, including hotel refurbishments, food and beverage provisions, conference, banqueting and events
• Work with local third party partners, including local media, and maintain professional working relationships with local official bodies
• Create and maintain a comprehensive media and marketing contact management system relevant to the target audiences of the hotel
• Work closely across all hotel departments, seeking proactive opportunities and planned promotions to address specific business challenges, as required
• Support the development of promotional activities, marketing channels and the production of marketing materials for specific events
• Manage and promote the hotel on Hilton branded websites
• Work within marketing budgets by using resources effectively
