Job Description:

The WSH Manager is responsible for leading and managing workplace safety and health (WSH) programs to ensure compliance with Singapore's WSH laws, promote a safe working environment, and mitigate occupational risks. The role involves developing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, providing training, and managing incident investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement WSH policies and procedures in line with MOM regulations (e.g. WSH Act, Code of Practices).
• Lead workplace safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Conduct safety training and awareness programs for staff and contractors.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and recommend preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as bizSAFE, ISO 45001, and other industry-specific standards.
• Liaise with government agencies such as the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), NEA, SCDF, etc.
• Maintain proper WSH documentation, including Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and incident reports.
• Chair WSH Committee meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

Education & Certification:

• Degree or Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field.
• WSH Officer Certification (registered with MOM under the WSH Act) - mandatory.
• bizSAFE Level 3 or higher preferred.
• ISO 45001 Auditor/Lead Auditor certification is a plus.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in WSH, preferably in construction, manufacturing, marine, or similar industries.
• Proven track record in implementing safety management systems and achieving safety KPIs.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of WSH regulations and standards in Singapore.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety management software.

Other Considerations:

• Willing to travel to sites and conduct on-ground inspections.
• Ability to work independently and manage a safety team.
