We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Manager, Japan Desk to lead business development, sales, consulting, and client engagement efforts with Japanese clients across the Pan-APAC region. This strategic role combines relationship management, solution consulting, and business development to strengthen our Japan Desk presence and expand our footprint within Japanese enterprises operating in the Pan-APAC region.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Relationship Management
  • Build and manage relationships with existing and new clients or stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Japanese clients, maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Act as a cultural and business bridge between Japanese clients and internal project teams.

Consulting & Solutioning
  • Understand client needs and work with technical teams to develop tailored IT solutions (e.g., cloud, digital transformation, enterprise systems).
  • Provide consultative support to Japanese clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Sales & Business Development
  • Take a consultative selling/solution sales approach to identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with Japanese corporate clients across sectors (e.g., financial services, healthcare, technology).
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies tailored for Japanese enterprises in the Pan-APAC region.
  • Drive the end-to-end sales process, including proposal development, contract negotiations, and closing.
  • Ensure deals are profitable and aligned with NCS' capabilities and growth strategy.

Strategic Planning
  • Contribute to the overall Japan Desk strategy, including market expansion, client segmentation, and partnership development.
  • Monitor industry and competitor activities relevant to Japanese businesses in the Pan-APAC region.
  • Stay updated on technology trends, client needs, and NCS capabilities, products, services, and emerging technologies.

Collaboration & Leadership
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., delivery, pre-sales) to ensure client success.
  • Mentor junior team members working on Japanese accounts.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in business development, consulting, or sales within the IT or professional services industry.
  • Proven experience working with Japanese clients, with a deep understanding of Japanese business culture and communication styles.
  • Fluent in both Japanese language (business level or native) and English.
  • Strong ability to understand clients' needs and pain points and pitch solutions tailored to their requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong knowledge of IT solutions and technology trends.
  • Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
