Are you a Maritime Law graduate with experience in the shipping industry?

Our client is a leading shipping conglomerate and looking to recruit a Legal background corporate and mortgage manager in their growing teams in Singapore.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Legal Counsel in a shipping company or someone with industry experience whos is looking to work in a closely knit team of professionals.

This role will give you an oppportunity to be in a customer service and client facing role within the shipping industry especially handling their ship finances and registration matters globally, with a focus on China and hence chinese speaking abilities will be an advantage.

Corporate

• Guide clients on Company formation and FME Registration.

• Review, vet and oversee corporate applications, including company formation, FME registration, certificates of good standing, filing documents in the public register, recording documents, withdrawals and dissolutions.

• Oversee KYC for Asian regional offices.

• Ensure proper implementation of corporate law and requirements by Asian regional offices.

• Train corporate staff, as necessary.

Other

• Participate in marketing meetings, events and workshops, as needed.

• Propose changes to existing procedures and requirements to enhance the efficiency of services.

• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Experience, Education and Certification

• Law school graduate, maritime law preferred.

• At least 5 years working experience, Ship finance and maritime industry experience preferred.

• Experience with mortgage instruments and financing documents.

• At least 3 years of supervisory experience.
