Job Description:

Our client is a a leading retail bank and they are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Risk & Compliance Manager to oversee regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance frameworks within the bank. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, mitigate risks, and support the development of a strong risk-aware culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain risk management and compliance policies in line with local and international banking regulations.
• Monitor and assess regulatory changes, ensuring the bank remains compliant with industry standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, internal audits, and compliance reviews to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish risk controls and enhance operational resilience.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on compliance and risk-related matters.
• Lead investigations into compliance breaches, suspicious activities, or fraud cases, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to relevant authorities in a timely manner.
• Support business units in implementing risk-mitigating strategies while enabling sustainable growth.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in risk management and compliance, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, AML/KYC guidelines, and risk frameworks.
• Experience in regulatory reporting and internal audit processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Certification in risk management or compliance (e.g., CAMS, FRM, CRCM) is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
