We are seeking a Lead System Engineer to oversee and perform both hands-on system
administration and team management for our critical operational infrastructure. This role
requires a mix of technical expertise and leadership, ensuring system reliability, security, and
performance while guiding a team to execute system maintenance and troubleshooting
efficiently.
Role and responsibilities
Manage and maintain Windows Server 2019+, Windows 10, and Active Directory (AD) environments, including GPO and security policy configurations.
Administer Windows Certificate Authority (CA), ensuring timely SSL certificate renewals and system integrity.
Oversee patch management via WSUS, including offline patching and security updates.
Manage Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP, SEPM, LUA) to ensure system security.
Maintain VMware ESXi (7U3+), vCenter, NSX, and VSAN stretch clusters.
Configure and optimize networking, including subnetting, routing (OSPF), NAT, firewall policies, and VPN tunnels.
Implement centralized logging (e.g., Splunk, Kiwi Syslog Server) for proactive system monitoring and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with security definitions, patches, OS/software/firmware upgrades.
Manage SSL certificate renewals and cryptographic best practices.
Proactively monitor system health, identify and resolve technical issues, and coordinate with OEM vendors when needed.
Perform preventive maintenance and generate regular system health reports.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in system administration, IT operations, or infrastructure management in

- Expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware virtualization, networking,
- and security management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent team leadership and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as VMware (VCP), Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), or Cisco
- (CCNA/CCNP) are a plus.
