Job Description
This primary responsibility of the Credit Risk Manager is to assess the credit worthiness of the client / potential client and to determine the likelihood that they will honour their financial obligations. This role is responsible for providing full support and accountability to the Risk Management Department in the areas of Credit Risk management for corporate clients and high net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- maintaining the quality of the credit proposals, ensuring accuracy of information and in-depth
analysis;
- proactively identifying potential risk concerns and highlight mitigating actions;
- to conduct quarterly / half-yearly / yearly credit reviews on the existing clients; and
regularly monitor the health of the portfolio, and to take proactive actions to control the risks.
Knowledge & Experience Required:

- Independently review the credit proposals / transaction requests to ensure that it is in line with the Bank's appetite, internal credit policies & adherence to related regulatory requirements.
- Assist the Risk Management Department in:
- maintaining the quality of the credit proposals, ensuring accuracy of information and in-depth
analysis;
- proactively identifying potential risk concerns and highlight mitigating actions;
- to conduct quarterly / half-yearly / yearly credit reviews on the existing clients; and
regularly monitor the health of the portfolio, and to take proactive actions to control the risks.
- Participate in the department's system implementation work, including participating in user requirement gathering and systems user-acceptance testing.
- Complete any other assigned tasks and projects as required by the department.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
- Degree holder with minimum 7 years of directly relevant working experience in similar capacity.
- Must have strong experience in assessing the credit risk of Chinese clients / Chinese Market.
- Must have strong ability to communicate in Mandarin, due to job requirement, and writing Chinese reports.
- Good customer service skills.
- Meticulous and good problem solving skills.
- Experience in change management, system testing and implementation and project management will be an added advantage.
- Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Self-motivated, self-disciplined, organized, responsible, meticulous and able to multi-task.
