Salary Range: $2,000 to $2,600 (commensurate based on experience)
Contract Duration: 6 months (renewable or convertible to permanent based on performance and business needs)
Work Location: Within walking distance of Buona Vista MRT
Work Hours: 8.30am to 6pm (Monday to Thursday), 8.30am to 5.30pm (Friday)

Background:

Our client supports national initiatives through research and operational work that contributes to public health and environmental safety. In this role, you will assist with both fieldwork and laboratory activities, including sample collection, data analysis, and product testing. The work plays a part in supporting evidence-based decision-making and operational planning at the national level.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with environmental sampling and data collection in both indoor and outdoor settings
• Support laboratory testing and preparation of samples as part of ongoing research projects
• Conduct technical evaluations of public health and vector control products
• Maintain accurate records of samples, observations, and test results for reporting purposes
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support research and operational activities
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of equipment and specimens
• Support the preparation of reports, documentation, and findings for internal use and wider application

Requirements:

• Diploma in science, chemistry, environmental engineering, or related disciplines
• Some experience in fieldwork, laboratory operations, or environmental assessments is preferred
• Interest in public health research, environmental safety, and science-driven policy development
• Comfortable with hands-on tasks in field and lab settings
• Experience using Workday or similar systems will be an advantage
• On-the-job training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail, with good analytical and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
