Key Responsibilities of Junior Baker

1. Reports directly to our Founder and Chief Baker - Joyce

2. Check production schedule and liaise with the team to determine products to be made each day/week

3. Preparation of Ingredients: Measure, mix and prepare ingredients for baked goods according to recipes/instructions

4. Mix and shape products according to recipes

5. Accuracy in scaling

6. Eye for detail during mix, proof, shape and bake

7. Baking: Follow baking procedures and schedules to produce various baked goods such as cinnamon rolls, muffins and cookies. Must be able to operate and maintain equipment such as ovens, mixers and other kitchen equipment.

8. Quality Control: Ensure that all baked products meet the standards for quality, consistency and appearance.

9. Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, sanitary and organised work area, including cleaning baking tools, equipment and surfaces. Ensure strict compliance with health and safety standards.

10. Product Decoration: Preparation of various icing options and ensure finished baked goods are decorated in accordance with design guidelines or customer requests.

11. Inventory Management: Keep track of ingredient levels and notify the Chief Baker when supplies need to be ordered or replenished.

12. Packing: Inspect and pack freshly baked products into designated packaging according to quality standards and requirements.

13. Customer Interaction: Some interaction with customers and cashiering will be required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1 year as a professional baker/pastry chef OR 2 years in culinary

• Passion for baking and open to learn

• Must possess valid Food Safety Course Level 1 certification

Working hours and remuneration

• Must be able to work flexible shifts

• Location of bakery is in the East of Singapore, at Telok Kurau

• 5-day week: Wed - Sun

• Able to start in June 2025

• Salary range from $2,400- $2,800, depending on experience.
