The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Associate in Prof Chen Lin's group.

The Research Associate will take on a significant role in the development and application of innovative bacteriophage-based strategies to combat multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogen infections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out an independent research project and collaborate with other researchers
• Maintain lab material logs, and conduct safety management, and manage data as necessary
• Present research at lab meetings and national/international conferences
• Contribute to the molecular engineering of bacteriophages for enhanced antimicrobial efficacy and host range expansion
• Contribute to the development of phage-based delivery materials and antimicrobial coatings

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Food Science, or a related field
• Strong background in molecular biology techniques, bacteriophage biology
• Experience in laboratory research and molecular study
• Proven track record of scientific publications and the ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Productive, hard-working and dedicated to the completion of task assigned
