The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 4-month contract at the Centre for Research in Child Development.

Project Introduction: The Centre for Research in Child Development (CRCD) is seeking a Research Assistant to support the next phase of an ongoing strategic initiative. This project focuses on enhancing an internal database that captures key information about CRCD's diverse research projects.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Psychology or Data Science.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, ideally in research, project management or data-related roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (including pivot tables and charts for data analysis and visualisation).
• Experience or strong interest in early childhood research will be highly regarded.
• Competency in data analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams to gather, organise and standardise information on past and ongoing research projects.
• Implement systematic tagging and categorisation methods across the database to enhance accessibility and usability.
• Develop a dynamic and intuitive dashboard to visualise project timelines, grant sources, KPIs, and other key information
• Assist in analysing and interpreting project data to inform centre-wide strategic planning and reporting at the centre-level .
• Ensure all data management practices align with institutional and ethical standards.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
