Job Description

This is a full-time underwriting role based in Singapore.

• Formulate and review underwriting guidelines and practices to ensure that they fit the Company's risk appetite statement and strategy
• Provide authority delegation recommendations
• Monitor the portfolio and provide underwriting improvement recommendations
• Provide new products and referral approval recommendation
• Provide recommendations to improve treaty and facultative reinsurance strategy
• Provide technical training to staff
• Develop underwriting tools and resources to support the underwriting process

Requirements

• Recognised Degree in Business or related discipline
• Professional insurance qualifications. ACII is an advantage.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in underwriting commercial and personal lines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Customer-centric
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
