Position Overview :

We are seeking a proactive Manager to lead our strategic planning efforts under the direction of the Management Committee and Executive Director of Diabetes Singapore (DS). Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the individual will facilitate strategic planning, robust governance practices and assist in overseeing key corporate administrative functions that will include Finance, IT, HR, Marketing & Communications, Legal and Board Secretariat. The ideal candidate will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with the Executive Director to ensure that the organisation is well set up to run efficiently and effectively, to enable its mission which is to combat diabetes and improve the lives of those affected. The individual will, therefore, be instrumental in driving operational excellence and enhancing the quality of healthcare services that DS provide.

Key responsibilities :

Strategic planning and implementation :

Assist the Executive Director in developing, implementing and monitoring the organisation's strategic plans. This includes:
  • Coordination of annual work plans, KPIs and organisational performance reviews.
  • Conduct research to support the formulation of the organisation's strategy; be able to elevate our data and digital capabilities.
  • Facilitate engagement with internal and external stakeholders for strategic alignment by maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including community partners, government agencies, and healthcare professionals
  • Actively represents the organisation, along with the Executive Director and the organisation's leadership team at major events and public meetings.
  • Assist ED in Event Management (eg: World Diabetes Day, Golf Charity etc.
  • Support ED in membership drive and maintenance.
  • In IT, Marketing & Communications, seek to establish systematic and smooth running of all IT services and related functional areas such as maintenance of the organisation's website, brand maintenance and communication.

Governance & Compliance :
  • Ensure that all operational activities are in compliance with regulatory, governance and reporting requirements.
  • Work at insuring the organisation with sound processes to enhance its governance and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Be able to identify gaps for improvements.
  • Support Management Committee and sub-committee meetings including agenda preparations, documentation and follow-up's.
  • Maintain corporate records and documentation to ensure standard operating processes, transparency and accountability.

Corporate Administration:
  • Assist in organisational reportings.
  • Support internal policy reviews and risk management processes.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental initiatives and special projects.
  • Assist in internal audits, grant applications, reporting and liaising with agencies and partners.
  • Monitors the fiscal budget and resource allocation.
  • Implement a sound HR administration that includes training and development of staff to foster a productive work environment and teamwork.

Our Ideal Profile :
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Non-profit Management or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in operational management, corporate administration, governance or strategic planning, preferably in healthcare or non-profit setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performance teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and proven experience in budget management.
  • Strong project management and communication skills; is analytical in and has prior experience in finance or budget management and having worked with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Passion for social impact and public health.
