Responsible for new business development, making brand building strategies and identification of potential market segments, planning and execution of business and operational activities to support, expand, and develop the Inbound Educational Travel market from Japan to Singapore. In-charge of revenue generation through new account development and key account management.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the Inbound Group's sales growth by analysing client segmentation and competitor landscape and developing sales strategies.
- Recommends plan to expand sales channels and network especially in schools and universities in Japan
- Supports lead generation and business negotiations to acquire sales for the organisation
- To prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested in order to track strategic goal accomplishment
- To communicate regularly with other Managers and other designated contacts within H.I.S. Group
- To perform other function as deemed necessary by your immediate superior or the management in relation to your function
Requirements:
- At least five (5) years of working experience in travel & tourism industry with minimum of three (3) years sales or managerial experience in Inbound Tour operations dealing with Japanese clients
- Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality / Tourism / Hotel Management or equivalent
- Must be innovative and resourceful by demonstrating initiatives in identifying new opportunities and converting them to sales
- Must have good communication skills. Have an ability to communicate effectively both in English and in Japanese in order to efficiently deal with Japanese clients
- Must be able to work under pressure and be a team player
- Must be able to take responsibility and have ownership of the sales role
