JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Perform concept design studies, sketch plans, and criteria/facilities programs for projects as required

2. Perform technical review of drawings and required design submission on assigned projects, and to ensure conformance with company design standards

3. Innovative and cost effective design to meet company design standard

4. Represents the department to face the clients and builds positive and mutually beneficial relationships

5. Lead on communication and coordination with internal and external disciplines to ensure the complete design integration of projects

6. Track and maintain project milestones, schedule and budget

7. Conduct and participate inter-department coordination on all project related issues

8. Conduct review/approval (with participation from internal and external disciplines) of variances from company standards requested by clients on specific project requirements

9. Provide design guidance to client and their consultants, as well as internal design and construction staff to adapt company design standards

10. Conduct site visits and prepares Property Improvement Plans (PIPs)

11. Maintain and update project review templates and quality control checklists

12. Provide recommendation for design changes to address customer satisfaction, operational concerns, company standard, and development strategies

13. Supervise, motivate, and trains assigned team members and external consultants where necessary

14. Assist Head of Department to maintain and develop company standard documents and work flow

15. Assist Head of Department on policy, methods, and systems support matters

16. Any other relevant tasks assigned by management

JOB QUALIFICATION

1. Minimum Bachelors or Master's Degree in Architecture or relative working experience

2. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in design at a design firm for large commercial, and/or, residential, office building, assembly facility projects

3. Good engineering design skills, technical and project management skills

4. Good business judgment and creative problem solving attributes

5. Strong conceptual design/freehand sketching and/or digital presentation abilities

7. Good analytical and problem-solving skills

8. Be confident, assertive and independent

9. Possesses intermediate knowledge of applicable codes, and implications on design

10.Demonstrated success in taking projects through design review process

11. Ability to discuss and debate philosophical design issues and solve complex project issues

12.Advanced design, visual and graphic presentation skills required

13.Advanced ability to work in team environment and supervise others

14.Ability to plan and manage design team efforts to effectively meet deadlines

15.Good interpersonal skill and attention to detail

16. Proficient skills in English and Mandarin language in speaking and writing

17.Ability to work well in high volume, fast-paced environment as a member of a collaborative team

18. Proficient in electronic mark-up software, MS Office, MS Project, Sketchup, AutoCAD and other relevant 3d softwares.
