CLUSTER SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Cluster General Manager, the Cluster Sustainability Manager is responsible for the deployment of the Accor Sustainability initiatives within the designated Hotels. This role will be proactive in engaging and aligning stakeholders with the properties to ensure the successful adoption and reporting of Sustainability programs.
What you will be DOING:
Sustainability initiatives
Communication and change management
• Communicate, sensitize and empower teams.
• Launch a learning program across all departments as directed to address topics such as energy, water, carbon emissions, food waste, waste, third-party certification and all other sustainability actions.
• Engage cultural transformation.
• Support and engage manager to achieve goals in topics such as energy, water, carbon emissions, food waste, waste, third-party certification and all other sustainability actions.
Performance monitoring and control
• Adapt the Accor Sustainability strategy, procedures and incentives by integrating related projects into the properties.
• Ensure compliance for all initiatives and secure property data to support certifications.
• Reporting on all projects and adoption into the properties to the GMs and Corporate Teams.
Hotel's transformation
• For each department, deploy sustainability offers.
• Manage a local deployment team, and reports progress to the Property General Manager.
Hotel's activation
• Create engagement and buy-in with all relevant stakeholders including GM's, VPO's and hotel team for all relevant programs.
• Distribute procedures to address the changes required to the operation
• Support property activation of sustainability corporate initiatives.
Other Projects
• Activate additional relevant projects for the properties.
• Conduct property audits and provide feedback and direction to property GMs.
General
• Perform related administration tasks and compile monthly publicity report and media clippings summary.
• Follow all workplace safety and security policies and procedures. Report accidents, injuries and incidents to reporting manager immediately.
• Participate and contribute actively in all Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability initiatives organised by the Hotel.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
Your experience and skills include:
• Degree in Environment, Sustainability, Hospitality Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sustainability managerial appointment.
• Strong understanding of current environmental & social stakes and challenges.
• Strong understanding of environmental notions: carbon footprint, carbon emissions, water footprint, land-use, planetary boundaries.
• Good business acumen, critical thinking and strategic decision-making skills.
• Strong human relations and influencing skills.
• Strong communications (verbal and written), planning and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong time management skills.
• Creative and innovative mindset.
• Detail-oriented and highly organised.
