Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Trade Finance Modernisation Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead transformative initiatives in the trade finance domain, leveraging their expertise to modernize processes, optimize technologies, and drive operational excellence. This role requires a deep understanding of trade finance products, digital transformation strategies, and industry best practices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current trade finance processes and identify opportunities for modernization.

• Design and implement digital solutions and automation strategies to enhance trade finance operations.

• Lead end-to-end projects, including feasibility studies, requirement gathering, solution design, implementation, and post-go-live support.

• Stay updated on trade finance industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies to provide strategic guidance.

• Develop roadmaps for modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.

• Provide expert-level support for trade finance systems, platforms, and tools.

• Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and compliance, to ensure seamless integration of new solutions.

• Train and guide stakeholders on newly implemented tools and processes to maximize adoption and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a client-facing role, with a proven track record of managing client relationships.

• Proven experience in trade finance operations and modernization initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of trade finance instruments, including letters of credit, guarantees, and supply chain financing.

• Expertise in digital transformation and process optimization in the banking or financial services sector.

• Experience with trade finance platforms, such as SWIFT, Trade360, or blockchain-based solutions, is a plus.

• Experience in trade finance products such as Finastra and CGI is a plus.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor's degree/master's degree in information technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience, or combination
