Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities, as well as any communication or swallowing disorders
• Develop individualised management plans and goals for clients based on assessment findings and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team
• Providing individual and group therapy to paediatric population
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and doctors, to provide a coordinated approach to therapy
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and management plans
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding speech and language disorders, and how to manage them outside of therapy sessions
• Work with the clinic to develop our clinical services
• Provide consultation and training to teachers, parents and other stakeholders

Required Qualifications and Experience

1. Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology
2. Registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
3. Experienced and have a passion for helping children with special needs
4. Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and to provide a coordinated approach to therapy
5. Submission of two writing samples (anonymised and de-identified)

This is a consultancy position where remuneration is calculated by reference to client hours rather than a fixed monthly salary. The salary range indicated is an estimated monthly salary depending on the number of client hours.
