The Decarbonisation Programme "Singapore Max-Planck Alliance for the Sustainable Conversion of Biomass" is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering to optimize biomass extraction and for upscaling and improving flow processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Upscaling of flow processes
• Investigation of mass transfer phenomena
• Acquisition of data on critical process parameters
• Optimization of biomass extraction
• Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers
• Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
• Contribute to the mentoring and guidance of junior researchers and students, fostering an environment of learning and innovation within the project team.

Job Requirements:

• Doctoral degree in Chemical Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
• Experience in flow chemistry
• Experience in translation of batch to continuous flow processes
• Experience in scale-up of flow chemistry
• Experience in oleochemistry
• Knowledge and experience in rational solvent design and green chemistry metrics
• Capable of conducting independent research while effectively collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment.
