You will be part of a dynamic team to support the planning, coordination and development of enterprise-focus programmes or initiatives that enhance workforce capabilities and support business transformation within the Enterprise Development Group (EDG)

This includes:
- Aligning our enterprise-focus programmes or initiatives with WSG's strategic objectives through establishing success metrics, continuous review and working with internal stakeholders to coordinate inputs
- Analysing industry trends, workforce data, and market studies to evaluate policy issues -by developing evidence-based or data-driven recommendations for improvements of programmes managed by EDG
- Determining EDG's priorities and targets to drive enterprises' participation in workforce development
- Coordinating responses from WSG and MOM's policy divisions or other agencies on cross-cutting policy matters, parliamentary questions related to EDG programmes
- Coordinate the annual corporate planning cycle across EDG to review KPI performances and ensuring alignment with WSG's strategic objectives and industry transformation goals
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Planning and Implementation: Plan, coordinate and develop enterprise-focus initiatives in line with WSG's priorities (e.g. workforce transformation, skills-first approach for hiring and workforce development).
- Policy and Programme Analysis: Analyse policy issues, engage with stakeholders to gather inputs, assess current gaps and provide recommendations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. WSG's policy and industry divisions) and external stakeholders (e.g. Ministry of Manpower) on matters aligned to EDG's priorities.
- Strong analysis and Critical Thinking: Able to analyse complex information, evaluate options systematically and make sound decisions based on data and logical reasoning
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyse programme performance using key performance metrics and use data for decision-making. Interprets trends and patterns to develop insights and action plans.
- Strong writing and communication skills: To be able to actively participate in discussions with stakeholders and translate perspectives into sound recommendations (in both writing and presentations) for management's consideration.
- Equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Knowledge/ Skills
- Experience in a planning or programme management role in a government agency (Ministry or Statutory Board) would be advantageous
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities to coordinate across internal and external partners and manage tight timelines
- Ability to write clearly, and succinctly and making sound recommendations on policy related matters
- Understanding how the macro labour market trends such as technology and automation will impact the industries and workforce
- Awareness of government efforts relating to manpower, workforce or human capital interventions would be advantageous
Abilities/Aptitudes :
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Good project management skills with ability to manage multiple stakeholders or priorities
- Able to work well both independently and in teams
- Possesses a curious mind that is open to different ideas, solutions and possibilities
- Tenacious, highly adaptable and receptive to ambiguity and changes
