  • Support regional standards partnership and engagement activities to drive the adaptation of safety standards in ASEAN regions. Promote safety and sustainability by supporting policy and standards harmonization, partnering with key standards developers, policymakers, and industry leaders
  • Participate in development of engagement strategy and objectives for the region.
  • Support safety standards collaboration MOU program. Involved in ongoing communications to strengthen relationships with partners in the region including national standards bodies, standards developing organizations, regulators, policy makers and key industry associations.
  • Manage regional engagement projects independently with partners in the region, including organizing events for capacity building, knowledge exchange, awareness raising, roundtable meetings, preparing training materials and presentations, etc.
  • Collaboration with the broader team for the implementation of MOU collaboration program in the region.
  • Provide presentations, training and mentorship about standards and standardization to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support participations and leadership at international and regional standards platforms such as ISO, IEC, ACCSQ, APEC, and the US-ASEAN Business Council.
  • Participate or act as liaison in standards development activities to support international and national standards development.
  • Conduct policy and analytical research relating to standards such as trade data analysis, country and regional regulation and policy analysis, use of standards and trends in the region, Sustainable Development Goals, WTO Technical Barrier to Trade, etc.
  • Demonstrate understanding of principles of standardization and its impacts to economic development, environmental protection and societal progression.
  • Project management skills with experience developing project timelines, scope, and managing project resources. Ability to execute an end-to-end process independently.
  • Experience analyzing and resolving issues, optimizing task execution, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate project goals, requirements and progress to various stakeholder groups.
  • University degree.
  • Experience with international policy or international relations.
