Singapore Sports School is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the full-time position of Coach/Assistant Coach, Table Tennis Academy.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing the training and competition plans for student-athletes towards high performance in sports, based on long-term athlete development principles, under the guidance of the Youth Head Coach, Table Tennis. You will keep track of the progress of each student-athlete and provide regular updates to the Table Tennis Academy, the student-athletes and their parents. You will work with the Youth Head Coach, General Manager, fellow coaches, school staff and external stakeholders to achieve the sporting goals and holistic development of the student-athletes under your care.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of competitive coaching experience with elite and developmental youth athletes.

• Possesses SG-Coach Level 1 or above certification or equivalent and is registered with the National Registry of Coaches (NROC) and the Ministry of Education (for Non-Singaporeans, to obtain NROC within 3 months).

• Possesses a valid Standard First Aid + CPR/AED certification.

• Possesses SG-Coach Level 1 Table Tennis (Full Integration) Coaching Course or equivalent preferred.

• Displays good understanding of sports science as applied to elite youth sports based on long term athlete development principles.

• Keen understanding of the quality Daily Training Environment needed for the development of student-athletes.

• Competent in values inculcation and character development for student-athletes.

• Good planning, administrative and organizational skills, with progressive knowledge, skills and attitude towards the use of data analytics in the training program.

• Able to work as part of a team while showing initiative and independence in delivering the assigned duties.

• Able to communicate well in English with student-athletes, parents and other stakeholders.

• Experience working within a school environment would be an advantage.
