We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Chemist to join our waste management company. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting chemical analyses on waste materials, maintaining and calibrating analytical instruments, utilizing the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), complying with ISO requirements, and drafting and/or updating standard operating procedures (SOPs). You will report to the Senior Chemist/Laboratory Manager.

Job Description:

• Establish sampling, analysis and segregation for incoming wastes and train lab technicians to work on it.
• Work closely with Logistics, Warehouse and Operations in handling incoming waste.
• Perform chemical analyses on waste materials using various analytical techniques such as GC, IC, XRF, TOC, ICP-OES etc.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments, troubleshoot any issues, and keep accurate records of instrument maintenance and calibration.
• Utilize Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample tracking, data management, and quality control procedures.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry into the LIMS and generate reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with ISO requirements for laboratory procedures, documentation, and record-keeping.
• Draft and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes and waste management practices.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the timely and accurate completion of tasks, including sample preparation, analysis, and reporting.
• Ensure good housekeeping in the laboratory.
• Participate in internal and external audits and inspections as required.
• Communicate effectively with other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements.
• Any other task assigned by a Senior Chemist / Lab Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in chemical-related field with at least 3 years of laboratory experience.
• A degree in Chemistry related field with no working experience will also be considered.
• Good analytical abilities and communication skills.
• Independent worker.
• No colour blindness.

Successful candidate will be working in the main office located at 15 Tuas View Circuit Singapore 636968. Company transport will be provided.
