At Town Vets, we're an independent, well-established Small Animal GP clinic committed to excellence in patient care and client communication. Our close-knit, experienced team values kindness, communication, and continuous learning. Located within walking distance of Tiong Bahru MRT and the River Valley area, our standalone practice offers the opportunity to build meaningful client relationships and focus entirely on continuity of care.

Position Available: Senior Veterinary Surgeon

We are looking for an experienced vet (10+ years) who enjoys collaborative clinical work, mentoring junior colleagues, and providing high standards of care.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid AVS Veterinary License.

Able to commit up to 35 hours per week or 4 days per week.

Comfortable with two evening shifts (12:00 PM - 8:30 PM) per week and two Saturday shifts (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) per month.

No after-hours surgery, emergency duty, or Sunday/Public Holiday shifts.

A structured onboarding process is provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex medical and surgical cases using an evidence-based, patient-centered approach.
• Provide second opinions and act as a senior clinical reference point during shifts.
• Support continuity of care for ongoing cases, championing patient advocacy.
• Mentor and support junior veterinarians through case discussions and hands-on guidance.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients, especially in high-stakes or sensitive situations.
• Collaborate with the Head Vet and Practice Manager to manage clinical complaints.
• Uphold and promote established protocols, offering feedback for improvement.
• Coordinate effectively with nurses and other vets during your shift.
• Share clinical knowledge and pursue continuing education in your area of interest.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented clinic culture.
