We are looking for a Safety Officer to oversee and ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations for interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, enforcing safety measures, and providing safety training to workers and subcontractors. This role requires hands-on site supervision, proactive hazard identification, and close coordination with project teams to maintain a safe working environment.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and enforce workplace safety measures at interior fit-out project sites.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and industry standards.
• Provide safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for workers and subcontractors.
• Perform regular site inspections and audits to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain and update safety documentation, incident reports, and permit-to-work records.
• Investigate workplace incidents and propose preventive measures.
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, and regulatory authorities on safety matters.

Requirements:

• WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (Level C)
• Relevant experience in safety coordination for interior fit-out or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of local workplace safety regulations and risk management practices.
• Excellent communication skills for training and enforcement.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in ensuring compliance and safety on-site.
• Ability to work independently and conduct site visits as required.
