We are currently seeking a friendly and dedicated Cashier to join our team at our retail store at Dempsey Hill. The largest pet shop in Singapore, the store is beautifully merchandised for a lifestyle shopping experience like no other!

As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers and their furry friends.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner

• Ring up purchases accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale (POS) system

• Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision

• Provide information about products, services, and promotions to customers

• Maintain a clean and organised checkout area

• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally

• Collaborate with the sales team to meet sales targets and achieve customer satisfaction goals

• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory as needed

• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and loss prevention

Qualifications:

• Love pets! (Many dogs visit our store)

• Friendly and happy personality

• Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred

• Passion for pets and knowledge of pet care products is a plus

• Good communication skills-able to interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling

• Basic math skills and comfortable using computers

• Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays*

• Singaporeans and PRs only

Successful candidates can look forward to opportunities for training and career advancement to positions of Retail Sales Associates, and Store Manager.

*The store opens from 9:00AM to 7:00PM, 7 days a week including public holidays. We offer 5-day work week (2 rest days); selected candidates must be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays.
